Matchmaking & Servers Are Stabilized for a 'Zero Queue'

Late yesterday afternoon, Phoenix Labs developers took to Reddit to inform the Dauntless open beta community that game servers have now become stabilized and have reached "zero queue" status. The team has been "all hands on deck" throughout the weekend working to reduce wait times and to provide better matchmaking after players were faced with lengthy wait times of an hour or more.

  • While the queue is empty now, it may fill up again. The queue exists to regulate the speed and volume at which Slayers are admitted into the game. If there is a massive increase in the number of people attempting to log in, we may have to queue them in order to ensure that the game continues to run smoothly for everyone.
  • We have made substantial improvements to matchmaking. This means that moving between Ramsgate and the islands is now faster and more reliable.
  • You may see a “QueenBee” error while queued. Do not worry and do not close your patcher. It will not impact your queue and will eventually resolve on its own.

Throughout the coming days, Phoenix Labs developers will be working to improve services and fix bugs. "The team is hard at work on a large-scale matchmaking overhaul that will help Dauntless to be a live service for years to come".
