The Outer Brood has now descended upon Norrath, determined on a special kind of destruction, in EverQuest’s newest annual expansion, out now.
There have been threats and dangers before, but this one seems new. Norrathian dragons and even the elders, are telling tales of a terrifying force of creatures. Different, with strange magic, and immense in size, to say they’re a massive threat is true in more than one way. Referred to by the Circle of the Crystalwing elders as The Outer Brood, they seemed at first to be coming to make contact. They soon determined that the Norrathian dragons were disappointing, and didn't deserve what they had, so it was time for these dangerous and massive creatures to take over and cleanse the world.
Now, it's your turn to try and stop them. Expect new narrative content and new missions, new zones, raids, quests, collections, and more.
The team recently described the development process, where they looked to draw from decades of EverQuest lore and to take somewhat familiar places and concepts and put a new spin on them. Enter Hodstock, explore different environments, and even keep an eye on the great Leviathan that is floating up in the sky. This huge Leviathan has a mysterious energy surrounding it and it will take many forces working together to try and stop these determined newcomers from carrying out all their destructive plans. The Outer Brood, EverQuest's 31st expansion, is looking to shake things up a bit.
