Not officially part of Origin's "On the House" program, Mass Effect 2 is currently free through EA's gaming platform for the time being. BioWare's Twitter indicated that it is going to be giving away five days worth of free games, beginning, it seems, with what many see as the finest of the original Mass Effect trilogy of games. The base game is free of charge without any of the additional DLC. EDIT: There is no telling when the 'free' status will lift or if this is available in all regions. Caveat emptor!
In the spirit of the season, we're giving away five days of freebies starting tomorrow. Stay tuned. pic.twitter.com/0oNuMkAevX
