Second Dinner’s latest season update for Marvel Snap brings the Eternals to the game, drops a number of cards down in series.
The new season pass character is the Eternal, Gilgamesh. Gilgamesh has the On Reveal ability of +1 Power for each friendly card in play with Increased power.
The season card schedule includes other Eternals and Celestials, such as Thena, Sersi, Makkari, Phastos, and Arishem.
Thena, who released alongside Gilgamesh this week, has already been making an impact on the meta, with her ability to gain +3 Power each turn if the player has played exactly two cards. She’s found an easy home in Kitty Pryde decks.
Later this month we have Phastos, who has the On Reveal ability of giving each card in your deck -1 Cost or +2 Power. He looks to pair well with Gilgamesh and other deck buff cards such as Okoye.
Arishem is easily the most exciting new card of the season. He’s Marvel Snap’s first 7 Cost card and grants the player +1 Max Energy at the start of the game. The trade off? He shuffles 12 random cards into the deck. Whether or not he will be competitive is hard to say, but he sure seems like he’ll be a lot of fun.
