Second Dinner has dropped Marvel Snap’s latest season and it’s a web full of surprises. The Amazing Spider-Season adds a number of new Spider characters, including Symbiote Spider-Man, Madame Web, Silver Sable, Arana, and fan favorite Scarlet Spider.
The season also introduces the game’s first new ability since launch with Activate. Cards with the Activate ability have a delayed effect triggered manually by the player on a later turn. This allows the player to employ a new layer of mind games when facing off against their opponents and unlocks a number of deck combos that weren’t previously possible.
Symbiote Spider-Man, the season pass card, is one such Activate card. When activated, his ability allows him to merge with the lowest card at his location, triggering its text once again like the card had just revealed.
One of the other most notable cards this season is Madame Web. Web is a 2/1 card that grants the player the ability to move cards away from her location each turn. It’s similar to Thanos’s old Space Stone, only it can be triggered multiple times per game.
Arana gives move decks yet another tool with the Activate ability to give the next card played +2 power and move it to the right.
