Marvel Rivals has unveiled another hero coming to the hero shooter's massive launch roster. Moon Knight, which was revealed at D23 Brazil, will join the fray when NetEase's hero shooter launches on December 6th.
The upcoming hero shooter already has a huge launch roster, but the team at NetEase announced another addition for players to check out on its December 6th launch date. A duelist-style hero, Moon Knight draws on the powers of the Egyptian Moon God, Khonshu, slinging blades and dealing heaps of damage, both up close and from afar. Moon Knight's Ultimate Ability sees him open a port above an area, summoning the "formidable and enigmatic arms of Khonsu," as seen in the reveal video from over the weekend.
Also announced at D23 Brazil was the composer and music producer for the upcoming hero shooter, with Shota Nakama taking on the role of producer while Masahiro Aoki is composing the soundtrack. Aoki has worked on titles such as Street Fighter V and Bayonetta 3, while Nakama has produced music on Final Fantasy XV, among others.
Marvel Rivals is slated to release next month as a free-to-play title across PC, Xbox Series S|X, and PlayStation 5, with its giant roster of heroes available at the jump, including characters like Captain America, Doctor Strange, Hela and more. Often compared to Overwatch, the developers recently said in an interview that while the comparison is an "honor," they see their game much differently than Blizzard's shooter.
