NetEase is set to launch its Marvel Rivals, the free to play hero shooter set in the Marvel universe, later this year in December. The release date, as well as two new characters Captain America and Winter Soldier, were revealed at this year’s Gamescom with a launch date trailer.
That’s not the end for Marvel Rivals’ now 25 strong roster of heroes and villains, however. According to reporting at PCGamesN, NetEase suggested there would be more characters available at launch than have already been confirmed. This reportedly occurred during a Discord Q&A on the official Marvel Rivals Discord, where a developer questioned on if the current roster is the final one for launch responded, “Come on, read between the lines. We are not done yet.”
Squirrel Girl and Psylocke, basically.

Who might those additional characters be? Well, one trusted leaker Miller Ross on Twitter/X suggested that launch additions would include Squirrel Girl and Psylocke. A whole host of characters were previously leaked for the game and there are still many candidates for characters that may arrive at launch besides Squirrel Girl and Psylocke. According to NetEase, all possibilities are on the table when it comes to the Marvel Rivals roster, so we’ll have to wait and see.
Marvel Rivals makes its superhero landing on PC on December 6.
