Marvel’s first open world RPG on mobile, Marvel Future Revolution (MFR), has been consistent in teasing heroes, villains and locations over the past several weeks on Twitter. Recently, a new teaser trailer was released that portrays some new characters, costume variants, and combat in what is shaping up to be the Marvel game to watch this year.
The trailer starts by showing off some variant colors for Iron Man’s armor. Those that are familiar with Marvel Heroes may find some fantastic variants there, while Marvel’s Avengers fans will be happy to find that the 10 variants shown are not just simple recolors of the same costume. The trailer also shows off the inclusion of several heroes, such as Vision and Thor, with gameplay reels featuring some of the playable characters such as Storm, Black Widow, Captain America, Iron Man and Doctor Strange.

The teaser was put together by Marvel’s director of product development Danny Koo at Gamescom Asia, and shared by Netmarble in HD not long after. In recent weeks several locations have been teased, such as Sakaar, Midgardia and Hydramerica, which are just a few of the areas that players will be able to visit when the game releases. A Blitz mode has also been confirmed, which consists of players taking on super villains on Primary Earth. While few details have been given, the verbiage certainly sounds like a Blitz might be a raid-like mission.
“I’m organizing a special strike force for a raid. You’re just the person I need to take point on the mission…” In Blitz mode, neutralize Super Villains that have amassed power in the newly converged Primary Earth. #MARVELFutureRevolution pic.twitter.com/AKTlJqya3k

The roster for Marvel Future Revolution continues to grow, and the cast of villains is sure to pique the interest of comic book fans that may have been a little let down by other live-service Marvel games that have not been able to keep up with the high-demand for new characters and villains. With no release window in sight for MFR and little to no information on whether we may see the game available on other platforms, Netmarble seems to be banking on its versatile cast of characters to entice players into the game.
