MapleStory Classic Global Playtest Sign Ups Begin

Consumers can now sign up for the MapleStory Classic Global playtest. While it is unclear when the playtest will take place, Publisher NEXON has detailed all of the perks that will come with participation.

Those that are selected for the MapleStory Classic Global playtest will be able to share feedback and their thoughts on this recreation of the classic MapleStory experience with the development team and “shape the future” of this version of the MMORPG. Additionally, participants can potentially receive NX Cash and gift cards through participation.

That said, NEXON will be prioritizing playtesters located in southern California — specifically those located in El Segundo. While this won’t necessarily lock someone out of being chosen, players close to El Segundo will have an edge.

In April 2025, NEXON shared its plans for MapleStory throughout the remainder of the year. Which mostly included further quality of life features. MapleStory is currently celebrating its 20th anniversary.
