MapleStory is 18, and Nexon’s long-running MMORPG is celebrating with a brand new update, Maple Momentree.

From its global release in 2005, MapleStory has had an active community and this new update is packed with ways to celebrate. Maple Momentree, the celebration is on now through June 13th, with events, new quest, minigames, and of course, cake.

The titular Maple Momentree is somewhere in Maple World and the tree’s spirits, twins Rith and Ellie, have stopped growing because time has stopped. And guess who is going to help get time restored and back on track? You can participate in this event quest to help Rith and Ellie restore the tree and let these juvenile tree spirits continue growing. For this, look for Rith & Ellie’s Growth Journal, and you can get rewarded for steps throughout the event period. Some of the rewards include Baby Ellieroid and Baby Rithroid coupons for your very own androids.

Other events include defeating moles in Maple Momentree. It’s a "whack-a-mole” hunt. The mobs will appear in a total of 12 scaling stages and you can take your shot at defeating mole and junior moles for a total of 2 minutes. The scores will be ranked and reset every Wednesday.Earn enough points and trade for rewards including Jumping Mole chairs.

There’s a Magic Wardrobe full of ghosts, and if you defeat enough of them, you’ll help reassure Ellie and Rith and earn some tokens and XP. Happy Playtime! is an event where you can summon toys and defeat enemies,  earning more points to help the tree spirits. Extreme Dolphin Fountain will let you fly around on Rith and Ellie's pet dolphin, Willy. You can find this event on the third floor of the tree.

There are several other events, including a cooking collection, a puzzle game, and rewards from Lucky.

For all of the details on rewards, requirements, and the ways to celebrate this huge anniversary, read the full notes over at MapleStory.
