Square Enix announced earlier that the majority of content in the May version update for Final Fantasy XI has been pushed out.
The update comes in a forum thread in which the team cites the current working from home situation nearly everyone finds themselves in today due to the COVID-19 pandemic,
“The development and operations teams are currently working from home, and for May we prioritized ensuring the stable provision of service while we bolster our ability to bring you sizeable version updates going forward. This requires us to replicate our development environment at home, and we are working feverishly to bring you the 18th Vana’versary event and other content that we’ve come to expect as soon as we possibly can.”
As for what will be delivered in the May version update, it looks like it will be an update for Records of Eminence, in addition Ambuscade. Records of Eminence contains a reset of progress of monthly objectives, while Ambuscade contains a reset of hallmarks and gallantry.
