Wizards of the Coast continues offering new ways to play Magic: The Gathering, with recent previews of upcoming new sets and collaborations with IPs like Fallout and Assassin’s Creed.

MagicCon Chicago took place a few days ago, and showcased a number of new upcoming sets, art, and more options on the way. Several panels led the way for a new info and art on several upcoming sets.

The new Fallout set is coming soon on March 8th, 2024 and the Bethesda collaboration overall pays homage to the Fallout game series from the original all the way through Fallout ‘76. There are updates to familiar characters from Fallout and Fallout 2, and the option to play as a Vaul survivor in the wastes, learning to survive, progress, and fight a number of irradiated mobs and dangerous foes, whether mutant, robot, or human. Choose your faction, immerse yourself in the world, and get ready for new ways to play.

Also on the way is a new Assassin’s Creed release. This is set to launch on July 5th, in collaboration with Ubisoft. Assassin’s Creed: Universes Beyond will feature most of the existing games in the franchise, with some mechanically unique card releases and some card reprints with new artwork.

There are a few other sets highlighted at the recent show and they are original additions. The first, Outlaws of Thunder Junction, is a new western-themed world to play in with a frontier-fantasy setting that also brings back fan favorite character, Oko. Modern Horizons 3 is coming in June, with new takes on the series, new twists, and more card types. Finally, there is Bloomburrow.

Bloomburrow is a new world in Magic, and there are no humans. What there are are anthropomorphic animals. Among them are rats, squirrels, frogs, rabbits, and more to discover. Create your party and work together on an important quest ahead. This set is due out August 2, 2024.
