Magic: the Gathering is celebrating the vast history of another Wizards of the Coast brand, Dungeons & Dragons, in a new swathe of Secret Lair drops.

In a move that will see The Professor scream "New Secret Lair Alert" a few times over, the new Secret Lair drops celebrate the 50th anniversary of Dungeons & Dragons. The new drops will feature D&D art, creatures and characters spanning the five-decade history of the table top RPG that started it all.

The new Secret Lair drops are as follows:

  • Secret Lair x Dungeons & Dragons: An Exhibition of Adventure
  • Secret Lair x Dungeons & Dragons: Astarion's Thirst
  • Secret Lair x Dungeons & Dragons: Karlach's Rage
  • Secret Lair x Dungeons & Dragons: Death is in the Eyes of the Beholder I
  • Secret Lair x Dungeons & Dragons: Death is in the Eyes of the Beholder II

The new Secret Lair drops will start at $29.99, while Foil editions will launch at $39.99 and will be available on both the Secret Lair website as well as the D&D Beyond Marketplace later this month. The full list of cards in each is still under wraps, but we should see them revealed as we move closer to the Secret Lair's launch date - which is also still under wraps. However, it's not hard to see that we'll be getting both Astarion and Karlach reprinted from Baldur's Gate 3 in their own themed sets.

You'll need to be quick to snag these, though, as Wizards of the Coast has swapped to a limited printing of Secret Lairs now versus the old "print to order" system it had before. Meaning that these collector's items will sell out, likely pretty quickly if the recent Monty Python Secret Lair was any indication.
