R2Games has announced that its retro-flavored MMO, Magic Barrage, will officially enter its open alpha stage of development on Tuesday, December 17th. The game is a browser-based title that fuses several different game styles.
Along with standard MMO features like crafting, pets, PvP and guilds, the game offers a few twists of its own. With hectic combat to test reflexes, countless enemies that show no mercy and epic bosses that pack a challenge, Magic Barrage takes players back to a time when developer efforts went into more into gameplay than aesthetics, while still offering the polish of a modern game. As a browser-based game, no download is required to play.
