The Mad World team is looking towards the future, with  a New Year's message and a confirmation from developer Jandy soft that the game is set to release in the first half of this year. While the permanent open beta was initially planned for the end of 2022, they were unable to polish everything in time, but released a bunch of previews in December to whet appetites for the upcoming release.

Those previews continue, with new monsters, soundtrack clips, and more to look out for.  Finally, there are several entries in the GM  note section of the games site titled "characteristics and settings closed quote with different entries under each page. Learn about the different resources and armors that can be crafted, everything from rags to steel, bronze, and rarer ore  called Whitesteel and Ancientgold, or even the mysterious Athlite.

It looks like we can continue to expect previews for now, and this breaks with the gaps where there was mostly silence on what was going on in between testing periods. While the closed beta period ended in September, Jandisoft says that the game's release build is basically done except for the final steps to polish it up for release. Fact, they are planning Global release in the first half of the year, but we don't have any better window just yet.

The latest video previews include Foneria, a dragon-like beast that is fed with a large bloody lump of meat tossed into a pit of bones. This comes with the question “Who is the owner of this ferocious monster?” Foneria also gets an audiobook lore entry, with an answer. The lore video features what sounds like a little girl speaking to her mother about her pet, Foneria. The girl speaks about how she heard that "humans have very sweet blood "and how she and Foneria want to be soaking in that sweet blood”. Despite some bumpy voice acting, there are even twists in this short lore video.

There are additional previews like soundtrack clips, setting peeks, and more. Jandisoft does keep showing off more of their game and maintaining the creepiness, body horror, and monsters as they promised to expect.
