Mad World will have its first closed beta test next month, marking the first look at the game since alpha ended in May. There are two ways to get access to the cross-platform dark MMORPG’s new testing phase.
The dates are set for September 15th through the 21st on Korean time, so these may vary slightly due to time zones. Last week, the Jandisoft team added a Founder's Pack to the shop for Mad World.
The Founder's Pack was available during the alpha test, so if you have one on your account (at any tier you bought) you will still be able to use it through to the launch but this time a new item has been added called the Test Play pass. This will give you guaranteed access into the closed beta.
If you bought a pack before August 17th, this pass wasn't originally included, but the team now confirms you will have that pass available and get a ticket into all testing phases, including closed beta.
However, if you haven't bought a Founder's Pack or sunk any money into the game yet, you can still get a chance at playing in the closed beta simply by signing up and being one of those lucky enough to get an invite.
This is all the information that has been released so far, but it seems that things are moving steadily towards the final testing phases and into what Jandisoft has called a “permanent open beta”. The Founder’s Pack also includes a 3-day early access pass to be used before the launch of this permanent open beta.
In the announcement of the closed beta dates, they do note that there will be a limited number of applicants selected for invites into the closed beta from non-pack buyers. We can expect the team to begin making more announcements on the details and the application process for closed beta.
