The next update to The Lord of the Rings Online was tentatively slated to launch on the 23rd of July, but has been pushed back, with the team now aiming for July 31st for Update 41.
The new target date was announced via community manager Cordovan on the LotRO forums, stating that the team is "expecting" it to go live next week. This new date also seems tentative, much like the previous target, as Cord leaves some wiggle room for when players should expect to start Birding.
"Yes, we are currently expecting Update 41 to release on/around July 31st," Jerry "Cordovan" Snook said in response to the question of whether the team is planning on pushing the release a week, or simply delay Birding out of Update 41 while Standing Stone Games works on bugs affecting the new hobby.

When asked about the launch of LotRO's new Legendary Servers, Angmar and Mordor, Snook's response was less detailed, with their release simply "to be determined." The new LotRO Legendary Servers will feature a new event called the "Veil of the Nine," which will see players have to team up to take out Nazgul in world events, helped by the power of one of twelve Rings of Power.
Update 41 will bring the new Birding hobby to LotRO, the first hobby to be released since Fishing years ago. The team recently showcased how Birding will work on the Bullroarer test server, with players able to explore the wilds of Middle-earth to, well, spot birds.
