The Lord of the Rings Online's Bullroarer test server is open once again, with Update 39 up for testing. Meanwhile, for those hoarding LotRO points to grab a shiny River Hobbit, you can now do so.

The Bullroarer test server is now open through February 16th, with the upcoming Update 39 up for testing. This includes the first three tiers of the new 12-person raid, The Depths of Makhada. The new three-player instance, Isle of Storms, will be playable, and the Dahal Huliz instance, which supports six-player fellowships.

Other additions include expanding fellowship-wide buffs to be able to include a full raid, which will be helpful in the Depth of Makhada, as well as tweaks to Champion, Hunter and Minstrel skills, among others. You can check out the full notes on the forums post.

In other Lord of the Rings Online news, the newest race, River Hobbits, which was introduced in Update 37, is now available to purchase with LotRO Store points, giving a new way to access the admirable folk in the MMO. This was technically true before, though the River Hobbits were only part of a bundle, meaning if all you wanted was access to the new race, you were forced to spend more than you actually needed. Now, they stand free, ready to adventure in Middle-earth.
