In an event organized by players on the Crickhollow server of The Lord of the Rings Online, players are raising money for a player in need in a Walk to Rivendell event this Friday.

The fundraiser, which has also been shared by the official Lord of the Rings social accounts, is in support of two community members, Saelindwyn and Leeindwyn. Starting at 8pm ET on the Crickhollow server this Friday, players will set out from the Celondim Docks in the Ered Luin region of The Lord of the Rings Online and walk to Rivendell, which is away in the Trollshaws, assuming the players take the Great East road most of the way.

In a post to the LotRO forums, the organizers described the event, stating that the walk will be as a way to help raise funds for Brennan, who was the victim of assault from a former roommate, and Sally, as a way to help celebrate their birthday as they help Brennan through this tough time.

Recently an unfortunate event happened to two of our community members, Saelindwyn and Leeindwyn. A group of us have been fundraising but we have decided to get together and do a Walk to Rivendell for Sally to help the fundraising and to celebrate Sally's birthday. The event will start at 8pm server time and we are to meet at Celomdin Docks. We shall be taking in as many Elven sites as we can. It doesn't matter what level you are as there will be plenty of people to keep you safe. There may even be a surprise or two thrown in as well. Come and join many of us and help Sally and Lee as well as seeing some Elven sites! More details on the route will be released closer to the time so stay tuned.

You can join up for the walk regardless of level, as there will be plenty of high level toons to keep the Wargs at bay. The event will be streamed as well by many community members as a way to help raise funds for Brennan's medical bills and more.

You can donate via the pair's GoFundMe link. This is just another example of why I fully believe the LotRO community is among the best in the MMO world.
