In the latest Cord of the Rings stream, Lord of the Rings Online's Community Manager Cordovan affirmed that, as of now, the Legacy of Morgoth expansion is still on course to release November 6th.
The note comes just under 10 minutes into the stream, with Jerry "Cordovan" Snook confirming that "at the moment" Legacy of Morgoth is not suffering a delay.
"Everything seems to be cooking along just fine," Cord states, though he cautions viewers that things can also develop that change this status.
Currently, Legacy of Morgoth is targeting a November 6th release, according to the pre-order Expansion page on the Lord of the Rings Online website. This can be fluid, as has happened in the past, with the team delaying things a week or so to ensure everything launches without much of a hitch, so it still stands to reason that Legacy of Morgoth could hit a snag in the home stretch.
However, I know I'm going to be eagerly awaiting that patch the first week of November, anticipating hopping into the four new regions coming with this next expansion. I still want to see a petrified forest in-game for myself, an environment I don't think is represented anywhere else in the MMO world.
For those looking for something to do between now and launch, Cord does mention that there should be no patches or content updates in between now and November 6th, though eager fans should look for the final round of testing on Bullroarer.
It should also be noted that Cord didn't hard confirm that November 6th date, stating that "release date messaging and things like that" will be coming in the future. But for now, that proposed November 6th date looks pretty good, if you're eager to jump in like me.
