Lost Ark’s “Holiday Awakening” update is coming tomorrow, with balance changes, the pet ability system, a new explorable event island, raid changes, new login reward track, and progression events.
Pets are now trainable at the Stronghold Ranch, able to learn new abilities that offer benefits while stationed at the Security Division. The ranch offers abilities with battle effects. The farm offers farm-related benefits. The dock offers stronghold-related benefits to Dispatch and Craft. Abilities come in three grades: Rare, Epic, and Legendary. You get two ability training slots by default, each getting one training per day until a daily reset. There are a couple of options for training your pets as long as they meet the minimum grade for the chosen training.
When your pets have successfully learned abilities, you can then place them in the appropriate section of the Security Division based on their type. You can't place pets with the same ability in the same area, so vary your training. You can also permanently release your pets in a city or stronghold in exchange for Pet Expertise potions.
The update adds Buzzling Island. Here, if you have item level 1520+, take on the starter quest and transform into a bee. From there, you can take part in the Trial of Honor to earn rewards, participate in races, and more to earn rewards. Those include Mokoko Seeds, the Buzzling Island Soul, and new jukebox songs.
Following previous adjustments, boss HP will be nerfed for the Brelshaza, Akkan, and Thaemine Legion Raids and the Echidna Kazeros Raid. Amazon and Smilegate have lowered the difficulty of some raids to make them more doable after they've been out for a while.
Ignite Servers and all related features are closing up and the new progression events will begin. The Voldis Powerpass and Hyper Awakening Road arrive tomorrow, offering honing boosts and discounts. The Hyper Awakening Road event is special, since this is designed to level a character from item level 1540 to 1620 to prepare for Tier 4. So if your Tier 4 progress has been lagging, this should get you there. You can even use it for a character who needs to boost from Level 1620 up to 1640 and just get over that hill. you won't get honing boosts but you will get mission rewards.
