Tomorrow, Calm Before the Storm sets upon Lost Ark, with the August update. The update adds Indigo Island, a new dungeon, the Bound Gold system, a number of improvements, events, and new cosmetics.

Downtime is set for midnight PT and the full update should be available worldwide tomorrow, August 14th. If you've been waiting for new places to go, Indigo Island could be your first stop if you  have item level 1600. Explore the island, discover the new settings, five Mokoko seeds, two new achievements to unlock, and five new structures you can earn from the island exchange. Once you're ready, grab a quest to complete and unlock the Sea Cave single-player dungeon, the latest example of single-player content added to Lost Ark.

You can complete the dungeon once a day per roster,  and if you do successfully clear it you'll get the Luminous Coral Stone, which you can exchange for progression materials and other rewards. The dungeon features three paths,  but only one is accessible at first. As you complete the dungeon, you'll open up the other two paths.

Bound Gold is also coming with certain activities now rewarding Bound Gold instead of tradeable gold. You can only use Bound Gold for progression purposes. Some gold rewards will be changing to Bound Gold, and this should help in the ongoing fight against cheaters, as well as work to reward players in new ways. One change is that solo mode raids will reward Bound Gold.

There are a number of improvements in the update as well. Notably, the Chaos dungeons are getting a “weekly purification”. Through this, you can play through with Aura of Resonance active and earn purification points every week. As you earn more points, you'll earn reward chests at certain  milestones. Silver and Honor shards that you get from the dungeons will be replaced with set reward chests in the purification system.

To mark this, there will be a chaos dungeon purification event, a new monthly Fever Time event, and refreshed daily login rewards.  The shop also gets some new cosmetics, including the spooky Omen collection.
