Lost Ark Tweaks Some Raid Content to Allow More Players to Complete It

Lost Ark’s recent roadmap and update shifts have changed some scheduled features, but the team continues refining and tuning other features in the meantime. The latest update involves a number of balance changes that are particularly relevant for raiders, including those who’ve struggled to complete some of the content.

Smilegate RPG and Amazon Games announced that some of the raid content would be getting some effective nerfs to bring down the difficulty a few notches. This is happening months after this content debuted in order to make it easier for some who hadn't yet been able to complete the original versions to get a chance at the various progression items they offer and to maybe get past gates they couldn't before. Difficulty options will still be a choice, including for those who seek better rewards,  and the changes in the new update affect normal and hard differently.

In this update,  Akkan, Echidna, and Thaemine get these changes. Among the tweaks are things like decreased damage, decreasing the number of times  and enemy attacks, updates to some of the debuffs to no longer be fatal or as overwhelming, and even making sure that some bosses don't recover HP like they used to.

In Lost Ark, raids are one of the primary sources of progression supplies, of course, and the team is making these changes as part of their efforts to make things feel more doable and Let players feel like they're not going to get left behind.

As we head into another major change when Tier 4 and more new content arrives, now set for October,  letting people feel like they can catch up is a pretty good idea. It looks like the team will continue working on this sort of change in the future as well, to wait a few months for those who are ready to go to take on the original challenge.

The full update notes go into every change and how each of these raids will now operate, along with other minor fixes.
