Lost Ark will be shutting down its Guild Siege and Raid Matches with the upcoming content update of Tier 4. As announced on its official blog and socials, these Guild-versus-Guild PvP modes will see its final battles in the coming weeks and be shut down entirely before Tier 4 drops on October 9.
The last period of Guild battles, for both Guild Siege and Raid matches, will take place between September 25 and October 1st. After October 2, players won’t be able to apply and play anymore.
Siege Events will wind down for their last round October 4-7.
Guilds will still remain in place for social purposes, and the blog promises “some additional changes” coming with Tier 4 to “help streamline that experience.”
There’s no given reason for why these modes were dropped. However, possible issues could include a population drop mixed with frustration over concentrated power of larger guilds when these modes become less crowded.
Each “Tier” is simply a new level of endgame to accomplish, while launching a new content patch—basically like an expansion. Tier 3, the most recent one, was released in January, and this most recent one was originally scheduled for late September, but was delayed to early October in order to give the localization team more time.
In the meantime, Lost Ark has dropped a number of notable content patches, including the “Chase The Storm” content drop last week, giving players chances to prepare for the next Tier update.
