The Lost Ark team is beginning to look ahead to the July update and features on the way, including the introduction of solo raids and Echidna After story content.

The new info comes courtesy of the latest Eye on Arkesia video. More details on the July update will be coming next week, but the update itself is scheduled for release on July 17th. So in one week, this big July update will introduce a new major feature: solo raids. These are exactly what they sound like, where you can do Legion Raids or even the Ivory Tower Abyssal dungeon solo. The addition of solo mode to raids will also help everyone get some of the progression materials that they need without necessarily having to rely on or wait for a party to go and get these rewards.

To support solo players taking on these challenges, we can expect some altered mechanics to allow one player to get through these challenges and win on their own. All classes will have a way to complete raids. One example CM Roxx pointed out in the video was that there will be some special effects to let a class like a Bard take on a raid. So if you’re more of a support class player, there’s still room for you to complete some raids. For solo raids, gold rewards will be slightly reduced, but you'll still get valuable progression materials.

The July update is also going to add the Echidna After Story to play through and wrap things up with our favorite snake boss. In addition, expect a Tier 3 support boost, Additional support for item enhancement. There will also be changes to the Elixir and Transcendence systems to help streamline and clarify the progression options in response to player feedback and calls for change.  These follow Smilegate RPG and Amazon’s previous announcements on reducing some of the grind and making progression less convoluted.

Since there are some huge changes and updates coming in the fall, at the end of the month we can expect another major update to the roadmap.
