Lost Ark Announces Some February Update Details and Bans Leveling Services to Improve Party Finder

Lost Ark has some new policies and details ahead of the February update, including the Wildsoul class, and new policies that ban bussing/leveling services, with specific penalties. 

The newest class, Wildsoul, finally arrives in tomorrow’s update, along with new and updated progression events. There’s a new South Kurzan Powerpass, a new Mokoko Express event, and another event coming that should help with Advanced Honing. Mokoko Bootcamp is also back for the second time. Based on community feedback, the team is actually looking to make this event a type of permanent system, but the permanent version wasn't ready, so they're going to repeat the event this time with the eye on adding that in the future.

This time, if you created a new account or haven't logged in in the past 60 days, you are qualified to participate as long as you're under item level 1670.  This event will run for a couple of months and they'll look at the data to help them finalize the eventual permanent system. If you participated in the last event run, you'll also notice some new and improved rewards. “We saw a lot of feedback on the volume of other available rewards, and will be juicing those up to ensure the event is worthwhile to all players,” they said. There will be a new Mokoko Legion Commander title too. Somewhere else in the February update will also be a Relic Engraving Selector.

Since the arrival of a new class typically coincides with a jump in populations and returning players, the team is outlining those new policies and updates to be aware of. They're looking to balance out supporting new and returning players with those progression events, and mentoring opportunities.

Starting tomorrow, for two weeks, anyone who promotes bussing/leveling services and related services via the in-game party finder or by spamming chat with promotions will be subject to escalating penalties. Your first violation will get you a 15-minute suspension as a warning, with subsequent penalties starting at one day and going up from there. After the first two weeks, suspensions will begin at one day. Spam area chat with promotions and you'll also get those same penalties. Piloting services remain a major violation and a bannable offense.
