With the arrival of Lost Ark's First Anniversary Celebration update today, there are some new restrictions intended to combat the bot problem ahead of all the anniversary giveaways. Amazon has also detailed the new anniversary Fever Time events.
With the first anniversary, there are a number of giveaways and items to collect, from the birthday cards you can trade for rewards, to double daily login giveaways, and more. So it makes sense that the team is trying to get ahead of the bots a bit.
What this means in practical terms is a bit of item restriction shuffling. Previously, level restrictions were applied to reward chests earned from Hall of the Sun [Normal]. You had to have item level 1375 to open them. These restrictions have now been lifted, but new restrictions are being applied to a different set of items.
You’ll need to meet that item level 1375 number again this time, to sell, trade, or even send certain items by mail. These items are:
- Solar Grace
- Solar Blessing
- Solar Protection
- Crystallized Destruction Stone
- Crystallized Guardian Stone
- Honor Leapstones
- Great Honor Leapstones
- Marvelous Honor Leapstones
- Glory Shard Pouches (S, M, & L)
- Lv. 1 - Lv. 10 Annihilation Gems
- Lv. 1 - Lv. 10 Crimson Flame Gem
Working to be sure that the economy isn't destabilized and the bots aren't grabbing all these items is important, so we can probably expect these restrictions to be shuffled in the future just like the ones that were just removed. With the anniversary event, this should hopefully make things feel fairer. The Lost Ark team has made some missteps on the bot issue, but the efforts remain ongoing, even if sometimes the workaround means restrictions for a time.
There will also be some more giveaways via a new anniversary Fever Time event. This time, instead of rewards being claimable only on weekends, there will be six days worth of rewards at a time for two weeks. The event begins today and runs through February 21st, giving two weeks in which to grab all the rewards.
For full details on rewards, see the announcement at Lost Ark.
