Fans of NCsoft's insanely popular Lineage games will be happy to know that the third game, a sequel to Lineage II, has been announced today in Korea prior to G-Star. Lineage Eternal: Twilight Resistance is shooting for a 2012 closed beta, and more info will likely come from G-Star this week.
Some of the highlights from the translated info:
- Isometric, like Diablo III, view.
- Three classes so far: Mage, Warrior, Archer
- Focus on massive warfare scale, with destructible environments, lots more people at once, etc. Very PVP-centric.
- Grappling hooks are major part of the game to cover gaps in terrain, or even use on enemies.
- Bodies become part of the terrain, to walk on, take cover behind, etc.
