Darewise Entertainment, the studio behind the survival MMO Life Beyond, has announced its secured another €3 million, or $3.4 Million USD, in seed funding, according to Gamesindustry.biz. Via a press release today, the company announced the funding from Serena, a European venture capital firm, as well as Lakestar.
With this infusion of seed funding from the two companies it puts the total fundraised at over 4 million Euros, or $4.5 million USD. The Darewise says this round of funding is meant to help "continue recruiting experienced developers and to boost development of its debut game Life Beyond."
Life Beyond, originally called Project C, is billed as a persistent, open-world co-op survival MMO by the Paris-based studio. While no release window has been announced, you can check out the Alpha right now via a Founder's Pack from the game's website. The studio boasts some impressive talent, having secured former Ubisoft, CD Projekt Red and Rockstar staffers.
