Lies of P Developer Neowitz revealed in an interview with IGN, that the Overture DLC will add in difficulty options. Director Jiwon Choi stated that this was to broaden the potential player base for the fairytale-inspired Soulslike. However, this seems to be contentious among those who have already played Lies of P, or are deeply invested in the difficulty discussion surrounding this particular genre.
Choi stated that this decision was made due to both developer and player feedback, along with Neowitz own desire to offer a “different experience to different types of players.” As it stands, Lies of P currently doesn’t have the aforementioned difficulty options, as they will only appear once the Overture DLC releases sometime in 2025.
In February 2024, Lies of P received its first DLC in the form of a collaboration with Koei Tecmo’s Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty. The free update added the Azure Dragon Crescent Glaive weapon and Armor of the Honorable, and a free cosmetic.
