Lemnis Gate is a new turn-based strategy shooter just unveiled during Geoff Keighley’s Opening Night Live. It’s set to release on PC, PS4, and Xbox One in early 2021. Here are the details.

Lemnis Gate is developed by Ratloop Games Canada and will see you defeating opponents 1v1 and 2v2 arena matches. You’ll have 25 seconds to perform an action such as blasting an enemy, maneuvering an operative, or setting up their next move. After every player has taken their turn, the next 25 second round will start.

There will be five rounds per match. Ratloop Games Canada say that this loop will allow players to set up ambushes, fix past mistakes, and develop unbeatable game plans as you figure out how you can outfox your opponent. In fact, the press release notes that no two battles will be the same.

The game is set to introduce something called “auto co-op” which works like this. One player will have control of five deep space operatives, effectively enabling two players to duke it out in bustling, ten-character matches. This auto co-op is meant for couch multiplayer specifically.
