After a wildly successful Steam Next Fest demo and several playtests since, Legacy: Steel & Sorcery will make its way into Early Access on February 12th.
Notorious Studios’ team draws on its 14 years of experience working on World of Warcraft. When they left Blizzard, it was with the desire to create their own fantasy world and blend together various elements in what has become their multiplayer PvPvE fantasy extraction RPG. They crafted things with PVP in mind, while also shoring up exploration, looting, leveling, crafting, and extraction elements to round things out. In essence, they're looking to invite players into a world where the leveling progression journey and PVP are essentially on equal footing.
In just a few weeks, you can enter the world of Mithrigarde. A solo, join teams of up to three, or create your own parties to Adventure in the world. Explore and take on quests, recover forgotten treasures, start scavenging for supplies and resources, and make sure you make it back to your base without losing what you worked so hard to collect.
In this fantasy world, you'll find new places, people, and more. As you adventure, there will be fantasy creatures and challenges you might expect, like ogres and monsters and more, and there will be other teams around who are as hungry for those treasures and loot as you are. It's a good idea to prepare for engagement, especially if you are carrying some precious cargo with you.
Early Access will launch for the base price of $24.99, and the team has lots of plans on the way for post Early Access development. These plans include new classes, including a Wizard and Paladin, and more. Notorious, in their Early Access press release, vows to continue listening to the community on future development and ongoing meta adjustments as needed.
