Patch 10.15 for League of Legends brings about more flexible Ranked Flex queues and more.
The team cites the introduction of Clash and the unrestricted rank system there as the inspiration to introduce it to Ranked Flex, explaining,
“With the introduction of Clash and its unrestricted rank system for full teams of 5, we’ve decided to apply the same approach to Ranked Flex queues, allowing players to get in ranked games with their Bronze buddies, Challenger chums, or whoever!
Similar to Clash, the system will use a weighted average that leans more towards higher skill players, so be warned before attempting to drag your Bronze friends through Diamond-level games. Have fun!”
Additional changes include some adjustments for Pros with respect to certain Champions like Shen and Lee Shin. The idea behind these changes was encourage more lane diversity, but also encouraging more Catilin and Gragas play. Some visual and audio changes are also included.
The Spirit Blossom Festival is also introduced with Lillia and the return of Nexus Blitz. Swain has also been given a refresh including a higher cast cadence in addition to an increase in range. Aphelios was toned down as well. You can catch the full patch notes here.
