The latest Wizard101 update has been successfully deployed on all servers. The update brings lots of new content in fishing, treasure cards, housing, pets, gardening and more. Of most significant note, however, is the arrival of the much-anticipated socketing system that allows Wizards above level 15 to enhance their gear with sockets and jewels for additional expertise.
Players can learn how to socket their gear from a new vendor in Wizard City. Once learned, players can have up to four sockets in their gear, one of each shape (square, triangle, circle or teardrop). Jewels can be found by opening chests, as reward for defeating creatures, purchased from vendors or crafted. Once acquired, jewels can be placed in a socket of a corresponding shape.
