The latest Game Director's Letter has been posted on the Age of Conan site. In it, Joel Bylos lets players know what's been going on in the past month and what players can expect down the pipeline in the coming thirty days. Among other things, Bylos reveals that nearly one-hundred forty new panoramas will be heading into the game with the next update.

In addition, players can look forward to:

  • a revamped hidden treasure map
  • more solo/dungeon/raid instance challenges
Bylos also gives a peek ahead at what the balance of 2015 will bring to AoC. The team will be focused on the recently announced arena system. The first phase of arenas will feature solo PvP and pet battle mechanics with team PvP to arrive at a later date.

High level players can also look forward to big changes in the end-game progression system and are already aware of the announced alterations in the crafting system. In addition to that, the AA system is going to receive major attention and will seek to bring new weapons to various classes and attendant new skills and abilities. The idea behind the overhaul is to give classes more versatility and an expanded role in the end game.
