Latest Fractured Online Q&A Defines Their Target Audience, Details More on Reworks, Crafting, and Relaunch

The latest Fractured Online community Q&A is out, with questions like who their core audience is, how will cosmetics work, what their plans are for crafting, character name reservations, and more on the planned relaunch.

As Happy Cauldron Games continues moving forward with their plans to overhaul some of the core systems, change and expand how skills and classes work, and add new features, art, and improvements, they're also planning to relaunch the game. One of the questions asked in this week's Q&A asks how they're defining their target audience for this new vision for Fractured Online.

That target audience are people who enjoy action combat, sandbox MMOs, player choices and player-driven economies. They also want to appeal to competitive players who like “structured, meaningful PvP” where things like territory control confer benefits. Someone who definitely wants the additional MMO mechanics that go beyond what an ARPG has, like social features.

In addition to involving the community at each stage of the process, as well as trying to reengage the existing playerbase, there will be public testing. After they begin that public testing and they have a lot of their changes in place, then they'll begin a fresh marketing push.

While no announcements on monetization are coming just yet, we do get some other info this week. Purchased skins will be linked to your account, not your character. Those who have name reservation privileges will get first crack at making their names before launch,  and crafting will also be reworked into a profession-based type system.
