The latest Destiny 2 Developer Insights video diary has been published to provide players insight into the new gameplay mode called Escalation Protocol coming with the Warmind expansion. Viewers learn that the action takes place on Mars and is, in effect, a horde mode gameplay option that sees players facing off against waves of monsters. Alpha Protocol was added in response to players asking for repeatable, yet challenging, gameplay options.
There are good reasons to play Alpha Protocol as well. Players can earn exclusive rewards and weapons as they take on new versions of monsters including Hive enemies including shield users, snipers and bosses.
Warmind, the second expansion to Destiny 2, is about to deliver a new endgame activity into the wild. Escalation Protocol will add difficulty and rewards for players skilled enough to rise to the challenge.
