Last Oasis Season 6 Is Going To Start Testing After Months Of Silence

Last Oasis has finally announced that testing is about to begin for its sixth season, following months of silence on the nomadic survival title.

Last Oasis' Season 6 is adding a whole host of content, with player vs player rebalances being the most important element of the update. Several elements have been rebalanced, including how progression works. After missteps in the fifth season of the title, the developer has also decided to change how Walkers work in the game, changing exactly how they work, how you can customize them, and above all else, removing several restrictions added in the previous update.

“We’re excited to announce that we’re opening applications to participate in testing for Season 6 of Last Oasis. Nearly every part of the game has been modified in some way, and we want to approach testing in a different way than we ever have before. We’ve already begun internal testing, but as you all know that can only get us so far. Our plan is to have some phases of invite-only testing to test balance and gameplay at a larger scale, before eventually having a Beta Branch which will be open to the whole community,” the sutdio's latest blog post reads.

This news comes after months of silence for the nomadic survival game, especially since the studio has seemingly been hard at work on its other survival game, Bellwright. The last update from the developer was in May, and it was all about the new Last Oasis Modkit. In addition, the developer started a series of ‘Modkit Showcases’ in which they showed off what to expect from the most popular mods for the title and why the mod developer thinks that they have improved the base game overall.

Yet even before the season 6 announcement, the studio was silent on Last Oasis for about a year, with the developers doubling down on trying to improve things after Season 5’s disastrous shift in direction, which we also largely panned in Mitch’s impressions of the season back in 2022.
