Eleventh Hour Games has unveiled the Warlock for upcoming ARPG Last Epoch. The Warlock is one of two Mastery Classes coming to the game, which is set to launch 1.0 on February 21st.
The Warlock can master the profane arts through 16 skills to learn, including some that are Mastery-exclusive. These abilities are laid out across their own skill trees to open up a ton of build freedom. Play your way, aided with buffs, damage type conversions, and modification factors to the original skills.
Some of the potential abilities you can unleash on enemies include Chthonic Fissure, the Warlock’s signature ability. When cast, a crack in the ground opens up and releases fiery spirits that seek out enemies. Use Chaos Bolts to send out particles that deal fire and necrotic damage. This is your low cost spammable skill that you can rely on most of the time, but it gets extra damage if you damage cursed enemies.
Ghostflame has a high cost, but lots of power and the potential to stack. You can deal both fire and necrotic damage through a stream of energy. Profane Veil transforms the Warlock into pure energy, dealing necrotic damage for a time and rendering them temporarily unhittable. Try Soul Feast, where the Warlock feasts upon enemy souls, dealing more necrotic damage and also pulling soul fragments to boost their own defense.
The Warlock (which the team previews more here) will be one of the classes that you can choose from when Last Epoch moves out of Early Access into its full launch. You can find out more about the game, classes, and preorders over at Last Epoch.
