Baldur’s Gate 3 developers, Larian Studios, have provided an update on their Divinity Original Sin boardgame via Kickstarter.

The update looks at art, skill school changes, and more. For example, the team has been showing off samples of new art they’ve created with a focus on location art in addition to some enemy cards. Skill school changes were also touched upon with the biggest change coming to the leveling system.

You used to be able to increase one ability and then pick a skill from that ability school. This resulted in a lack of diversification in a player’s build. However, now you can select an ability and choose a skill from any school.

New skill were also touched upon as well as warfare. Major changes have come to warfare skills in addition to some adjustments to rules. If you’re unfamiliar with the boardgame Kickstarter, it’s described as, “an epic adventure game set in the world of Rivellon.” You and three others can take part in a branching narrative based on Divinity Original Sin 2 but expanded.
