Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess, a new "Kagura"-inspired action-strategy game, showed off release date announcement trailer with new gameplay at the Summer Game Fest—and that July date is pretty soon.
Announced last year during the Xbox Games Showcase, the Japanese game mixes the classic tower defense style of gameplay with the mass hack-and-slash sensibilities of Dynasty Warriors. Players can plan and execute massive area-of-effect attacks, or run around and take on groups of enemies or even massive demon bosses themselves.
Unlike the bulk of the games shown off at today's Summer Game Fest showcase, this one is coming sooner than later, with a release date now announced as July 19. It'll be available on Game Pass for Windows, Xbox Series S and X plus Xbox One, as well as PS5, PS4, and Steam.
