A new teaser is out for the mobile version of extraction RPG Dark and Darker. The mobile version, developed by Bluehole and published by Krafton, is planned for release sometime later this year.

The new teaser is a cinematic, so there's no gameplay featured at all but it is intended to give you a taste of what to expect from the extraction title. Krafton promises that we will be getting a series of videos to show off the mobile game and how it will stand out from the PC version.

There are five classes to choose from–Barbarian, Cleric, Fighter, Ranger, and Rogue–with class-based skills and gear specialization. To challenge a dungeon, you can only equip two active skills, so choose wisely. Passive skills will be the key to customizing your build, as you’ll learn more of these when leveling up and earn more slots for them too.

The game is an extraction RPG that will offer new features like feature PVE dungeons. This differs from the PvEvP of the original from Ironmace. If you want to just take on the challenges,  slay enemies, avoiding traps, and chasing loot instead of having to also worry about other players, the mobile version will  offer this. On the other hand, PVP dungeons are going to lay on the competition from other players over who can take control of the dungeon and the spoils.

Krafton is aiming at a “mainstream” audience with planned release this year. There is a closed beta test for Korean players this mont, but a global test is planned.

Dark and Darker Mobile will also feature a sidekick system that will let you recruit AI companions to help you through your dungeon crawling.  So even if you're just playing solo, particularly if you're in a PVE dungeon, you can level up these Companions and have them take on the challenges with you. The game will also feature a pet system.

When it comes to gear, expect to acquire new equipment and loot from treasure chests or Monster drops, and of course boss fights. there will be Merchants who can offer quests for better inventories, and you can always upgrade your equipment using the gold you earn and other resources.

We can also expect some high-level dungeons that will open an endgame with its own rewards to chase. So even if you play regularly, there should still be goals you can aim for.
