Kingdom Come: Deliverance - New Features Revealed

Warhorse Studios has revealed some new features that will be present in Kingdom Come: Deliverance. Players can look forward to an "extensive RPG system", a robust armor system, item quality and survival elements.

In the RPG system, players will be able to customize their characters and play the game in a way that best suits them, whether it is as a diplomat, a sneak or as someone ready to kill first, think later. Reputation will affect the way the game plays out.

Characters in KC:D will have sixteen armor slots to fill that will further expand customizations. There are six body slots, four leg slots, four head slots and two jewelry slots. Each piece of armor comes in cloth, chain, or plate, as well as those without designation, gloves, coat/hood, boots, or necklace.

Layer different types of armor over each other to prepare for the next battle. From a soft linen shirt to massive full plate armor, every material is good against different types of attacks such as slashes, stabs and blunt hits. Combine different materials to use their benefits and negate their weak spots. A sophisticated physical collision system calculates the exact position of each strike. Due to the collision system, armor pieces only protect particular spots on your body, but the more hits you receive the more your armor is weakened.

Survival elements are introduced through item degradation so it will be essential to keep gear in good repair. Wounded players will also need to keep track of their health and make sure to take advantage of medicine, sleep, food and bandages to stay in top fighting condition.
