Courtesy of HiFi Go, we were alerted to a brand new piece of desktop audio gear that you may want to take a look at. We’re talking about the Tone 2 Pro from Khadas. It’s a desktop DAC/amp combo that offers high-end audio for your games and music, while also offering enough power and connectivity for headphones or powered speakers.

The Tone 2 Pro has quite a bit going for it. It looks great, offers a lot of power, and has a very small footprint so it won’t take up much space on your desk – only about the size of a credit card. On top of that, it uses the excellent ES9038Q2M DAC for all of its audio processing, which is a substantial upgrade from the majority of audio chipsets that come pre-installed on motherboards.

Spec-wise, this tiny device transmits audio at high bit and sample rates, up to 32-bit/384kHz, to ensure even the highest resolution audio files play at full fidelity. Additionally, it supports DSD and MQA decoding to stay on the cutting edge of HiFi file resolutions. Check out the full spec rundown here.

We should be getting one in to test here at MMORPG, so stay tuned for our full thoughts in that review. For now, find out more at HiFi Go.
