John Smedley has announced that he has left Daybreak Game Studio and has formed a new company and is its CEO. Earlier this summer, Smedley announced he was stepping down as president and CEO of Daybreak, but that he would be transitioning to a new position within the company after time away.
Smedley's personal Facebook page does not name the company he has founded, but that more information will be coming soon.

Daybreak representatives have confirmed Smedley's departure (via Trust in Play).
On behalf of Daybreak, we wish Smed well in his new endeavors. Any questions regarding his new business should be directed to him.
