According to J Todd Coleman, Game Designer and Creative Director of Crowfall, his game will be, “the most strategic virtual universe” at launch.
First up, some context. Crowfall tweeted earlier commenting that often times, MMORPGs have survival as a key feature, and posed the question to the community if they preferred strategy or survival.
#MMORPG #strategy games often include #survival as a key feature. Which do you prefer, strategy or survival? #CrowfallGame pic.twitter.com/Xohh4SlO9c

Coleman replied to that tweet discussing how the evolution of Crowfall at first leaned heavily on survival, but then shifted more into strategy as new mechanics were added. He concluded claiming that by launch, Crowfall would be the most strategic virtual universe, even surpassing EVE Online.
It’s a bold claim to say the least, but only time will tell.
Crowfall’s evolution has been interesting: when we started, the game leaned much more heavily on survival mechanics. over time we added more and more strategy and pulled the survival mechanics. by launch, we’ll be the most strategic virtual universe (IMO surpassing Eve Online)
