It's Giant Turkey Time Again in New World: Aeternum, With Turkulon's Return Next Week

Regular turkeys will also prove very valuable as they spawn in abundance too

If you haven’t had the chance to take down the Turkulon in New World: Aeternum, the giant turkey is back starting on November 20th. Amazon has shared details on the event, and a full list of rewards (and drop chances).

This is the first time this event is available on console, so if you are playing on a server that welcomes all platforms, some might need some guidance or help on the level 66 open world boss and to navigate some of the fun of having more turkeys everywhere

You don't have to only stick to hunting down the giant turkey in the world event, since regular turkeys will also be useful for getting rewards. These turkeys have a 20% chance to drop the Turkulon’s Claw Skinning Knife. Once you have that, as the announcement says, you'll probably spend more time skinning them than fighting them.  This is because using that knife to skin turkeys opens up the door to extra loot, during the event and after.

The potential loot you can get by using the knife includes drops that give damage done or damage absorption boosts to all boosts, but major damage to and protection from Turkulon. Other forms of extra loot from skinning turkeys are the Drumstick of Death skin for the Flail and the Turkulon’s Juicy Calves boots skin. If you’ve been itching to use a turkey leg to clobber your enemies or want a new look, hope for lucky drops.

Now, if you gather with others to take on the main bird, you could get those flail and boot skins from it too, along with the Grand Gobbler War Hammer skin, and the Turkuless, Disgruntled Fowl pet to sit in your house and go gobble gobble to add to the atmosphere there. There's more loot to acquire, including food related and you’ll have a guaranteed Massive Turkey Leg drop,  which you can use in crafting. If you defeat the Turkulon 16 times, you are guaranteed to receive all of the rewards.

You have until December 3rd to make the most of turkey season in Aeternum.
