Wizard101’s latest update, Cabal’s Revenge, is here, offering a brand new raid, an improved boss rematch feature, a way to reconnect with the Recent Wizards feature, and more to explore.

Kingsisle Entertainment unveiled the new update, along with details on what to expect in this next chapter. At the heart of this update, with the title Cabal’s Revenge, well, the Cabal is making a powerful show stand to challenge the level 170 players in a brand new raid. This raid will not just require max level, but a well-organized guild to get through a tricky raid that features two boss fights. There is a clue in the announcement, as it says “One [villain] harbors such a deep-seated hatred for “The Wizard” that they will warp reality itself to achieve vengeance, and they’ve enlisted some members of the Cabal to assist them”. Any guesses?

With the arrival of the new raid, Wizard101 adds boss rematches. What this means is you can have Arc 2 rematches available in an improved system that will let you choose between Standard and Challenge mode before you enter a boss rematch. This gives you an option to choose difficulties and to take on these rematches for rewards and challenges.

Wizard101 also adds new social features. One new feature is an emote wheel. Another is called “Recent Wizards”,  which lets you find characters not on your friends list that you've recently participated in an activity with. Maybe you explored a dungeon with some others, played on a Beastmoon team, were matched up on a PvP team, or a number of other activities and just forgot to add each other to friends. Now you have a way to reconnect and potentially play together in the future.

There are a number of other changes that you can find in the full update notes, like new Beastmoon forms and event changes, new guild achievements, and a number of spell changes and combat improvements.
