After several years of R&D and the odd rumor here and there, we now know what Intel’s high end graphics brand will be called. Get ready for Intel Arc.

The branding was revealed earlier as Intel Arc and is intended to be the umbrella brand for hardware, software, and services. Additionally, Intel intends Intel Arc to “span multiple hardware generations.”

The first generation of Intel Arc will be based on the Xe HPG microarchitecture. Moreover, Intel shared the codenames for these future generations and they’re pretty much in our wheelhouse at MMORPG: Battlemage, Celestial, and Druid.

Roger Chander, Intel’s VP and General Manager of Client Graphics Products and Solutions, noted in the press release,

“Today marks a key moment in the graphics journey we started just a few years ago. The launch of the Intel Arc brand and the reveal of future hardware generations signifies Intel’s deep and continued commitment to gamers and creators everywhere. We have teams doing incredible work to ensure we deliver first-class and frictionless experiences when these products are available early next year.”
