As Nightingale heads towards a now-earlier Early Access launch later this month, the Inflexion Games team is sharing stats and details about last Friday’s extended stress test.

The test was originally scheduled for just a few hours, but due to the intense demand and the servers remaining stable and showing good results, it was extended into the evening. When announcing they were moving up Early Access launch by two days to February 20th, Inflexion reported over 48,000 players had participated in the test.

“ The data we collected gives us some important insights into how quickly folks can get into the game once it’s available and what the ramp-up looks like into the evening hours,” reads the new devblog on the stress test recap. In addition to Pure data, they also received a lot of community feedback, including bug reports, troubleshooting requests, and even suggestions on UI.

They also go into some of the issues they discovered, like a potential delay in communications sent from Steam that could arrive way after a product goes live. Of course, with good data and a launch ahead, these are things you learn in human playtesting versus simulations.

The team also gives a taste of some of what we can expect by sharing player stats from the test. Participants created 49,286 unique characters and opened 3,238 portals to other realms. A total of 633,934 building pieces were placed, with 574,647 completed. There were 9,308 decoration pieces completed.

In a piece of data that shouldn’t surprise anyone, “The most popular building piece was a wall, 191,068 walls were completed”. Other stats covered include how many boars were killed (over 297,000), the 258,747 wolves killed, and 22,933 deer, which includes regular and Demon deer. Demon deer.

As Inflexion gets ready for launch, including incorporating some of the community feedback for now and some for post-release, they'll be sharing more information soon.
